Less than two months out and already there is firm interest in the Laser Nationals to be sailed at the Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club in sunny Perth. With easy access to some of the best sailing waters in WA, the MOFSC also has one of the finest club facilities on the west coast. The sea breeze promises great action every afternoon with two races on the Indian ocean scheduled each day, just ten minutes from the club on Comet Bay. Close to two hundred sailors are expected on the water with a large number of volunteers that will keep them sailing. Continue reading

Performance Sailcraft Australia has been involved in the singlehanded dinghy market for over four decades so they know a thing or two about single hander sailing. Chris Caldecoat form PSA said “When we acquired the Byte CII we knew the boat had amazing potential but after discussing the boat with the global builders we also found it was still potentially too much of a step for lighter sailors transitioning out of boats such as the Optimist. So we carried out product evaluations and testing and concluded we might have an opportunity to take an already proven light hull and develop a smaller rig that worked perfectly for sailors in the 35-55kg weight range, hence the exciting news about the CI” Continue reading
